Sweden is preparing to supply Ukraine with different variants of JAS 39 Gripen fighter jets.

Axar.az reports that Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson is expected to announce the delivery of the JAS 39 Gripen C/D fighter jets on Thursday.

At the same time, negotiations are expected to begin on the potential sale of the more advanced JAS 39 Gripen E model to Ukraine, possibly financed through an EU loan.

The report says the move would significantly strengthen Ukraine’s air capabilities amid the ongoing war.
