Fire breaks out at mini refinery in Iran's Lorestan -

A major fire broke out at a mini refinery in Iran's western city of Pol-e Dokhtar, Iran, making firefighting operations difficult.

Axar.az reports, citing Iranian media, that the blaze erupted shortly after 5 p.m., sending a thick column of smoke into the air.

According to local reports, the fire started within the refinery complex. Due to the presence of highly flammable materials, emergency responders prioritized preventing the blaze from spreading to other sections of the facility.

Firefighters, emergency crews, heavy machinery, and firefighting equipment were dispatched to the scene, but the intensity of the flames initially prevented them from reaching the center of the fire.

Firefighting operations are continuing under strict safety measures. No casualties have been reported.
