US President Donald Trump has announced a large-scale rally in Washington, D.C., scheduled for June 24 at 7 p.m., describing it as a historic event marking the 250th anniversary of the United States.
Axar.az reports that in a post on Truth Social, Trump said the event would be “the Greatest Rally, EVER” and emphasized that it would be held in what he described as a “totally beautified” and “one of the Safest Cities anywhere in the World.”
“We will be bringing you, LIVE, the Greatest Rally, EVER! It will be special at every level — A Rally to end all Rallies!” Trump wrote.
He also criticized traditional concert-style performances, saying, “We don’t want singers with no talent, but big fees to put you to sleep, we’ve told them all to stay home.”
Instead, Trump said the event will feature performances by Lee Greenwood, who will open with “God Bless the U.S.A.,” as well as tenor Christopher Macchio, who will perform pieces including Nessun Dorma, Hallelujah, Ave Maria, and God Bless America.
“Not since the legendary Luciano Pavarotti has there been such a voice!” Trump added.
The rally will also include performances by the U.S. Army Band “Pershing’s Own,” the Armed Forces Chorus, “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band, and the Joint Armed Forces Chorus.
Trump concluded his announcement by highlighting his own attendance, saying the event will also feature “a fine and highly dignified gentleman known as, President DONALD J. TRUMP!”
