Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is set to travel to Iran to attend the funeral of the country's late Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

Axar.az reports, citing Iranian media, Pashinyan had previously expressed condolences over Khamenei's death and the deaths of others, and stated that he would attend the funeral unless unforeseen circumstances arise.

According to report, Armenian media representatives, cultural and public figures, Iran experts, and Persian language specialists will also travel to Iran to cover the ceremony.

It should be noted that Khamenei is expected to be buried in Mashhad on July 9.
