US set to give Turkiye’s KAAN program the kiss of life

U.S. President Donald Trump is expected to approve the sale of engines for Turkiye's KAAN fighter jet program during his official visit to Ankara for the NATO leaders' meeting.

Axar.az informs, citing Turkish media,Trump is scheduled to be received at the Presidential Complex one day before the summit.

Trump and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will first hold a one-on-one meeting, followed by talks between their respective delegations and a joint press conference.

The anticipated decision would give a major boost to Türkiye's air force and support Ankara's efforts to further develop its indigenous KAAN fighter jet.
