Energy infrastructure facilities in Belgorod and the Belgorod district have sustained heavy damage following a missile attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Axar.az reports, citing Russian media, that a fire broke out at an unspecified infrastructure facility. Emergency services are currently working at the scene.

"Energy infrastructure facilities have sustained serious damage. Power and water supply disruptions have been recorded in several municipalities," the statement said.

Local outlet Pepel Belgorod reported that the Yuzhnaya electrical substation and the Energo thermal power plant were hit.

In addition, one civilian woman was killed in the attack in Belgorod. Five vehicles were also damaged.
