In response to the latest American aggression on southern Iran, logistical support centers and refueling platforms of US aircraft carriers in Oman came under attack by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force early on Sunday.
Axar.az reports, citing Tasnim, according to a statement released by the IRGC public relations office today, the IRGC’s aerospace fighters destroyed the logistical support centers and refueling platforms of American aircraft carriers in the port of Duqm, Oman, with a heavy and surprise attack.
Earlier in the day, the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Armed Forces launched coordinated missile and drone strikes against US military facilities in Jordan, Kuwait and Bahrain in response to continued American assaults on southern Iran, with the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) and the Iranian Army warning that any further US action will trigger harsher retaliation.
The retaliatory operations came hours after the U.S. military said it had completed a third round of strikes, hitting approximately 140 Iranian military targets.
Shortly before the announcement, residents in the southern port cities of Asalouyeh and Bandar Dayyer of the Bushehr Province reported hearing several explosions, according to Fars News Agency. The exact locations of the blasts were not immediately determined.
Earlier, the IRGC Navy announced the closure of the Strait of Hormuz until further notice, saying the waterway will remain closed until the United States ends its intervention in the region.
