Iraqi PM visits Tehran

Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi has arrived in Tehran on an official visit.

Axar.az reports, citing Iranian media, that during the visit, al-Zaidi is expected to hold talks with Iranian officials on a wide range of issues.

The two sides are also expected to sign several cooperation agreements.

Some media outlets have described Iraq as a potential new mediator between Iran and the United States, viewing the visit as an important step toward easing tensions in the region.
