Turkiye starts rebuilding railway to Gyumri

Turkiye has begun reconstructing the railway section leading to the Armenian city of Gyumri.

Axar.az reports, citing Sputnik Armenia, that Akyaka Mayor Erduger Toptas said the restoration work is expected to take two to three months. A tender has already been announced for the construction work, including the railway embankment from Akyaka to Gyumri.

Toptas said restoring the railway infrastructure would bring economic benefits to both countries and create opportunities for cooperation in the agricultural and industrial sectors.
