The United States has imposed nonproliferation sanctions on several entities affiliated with Russia's Ministry of Defense.

Axar.az reports, citing the U.S. State Department, that the sanctions target the Russian Main Missile and Artillery Directorate, the 1061st Material-Technical Support Center (MTSC), the Russian Ministry of Defense Directorate for Advanced Inter-Service Research and Special Projects (UPMLiSP), and the Russian Ground Forces.

The sanctions also apply to two Russian companies—Gedion Alpha Company LLC and International Invest Company (IIC)—as well as several Russian nationals.
