Pezeshkian: Iran was meant to fall within 48 hours

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said there had been a plan to seize Iran within 48 hours, similar to what happened in Syria.

Axar.az reports, citing Iranian media, that Pezeshkian made the remarks while speaking about the recent conflict.

"They had planned to take over Iran within 48 hours, like Syria. The martyrdom of our senior figures during the Ramadan war was painful. Despite all the hardships and challenges, today Iran is regarded as a strong and dignified country,” he said.
