An expelled senior colonel who had a finalized prison sentence for membership in the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO) has been arrested in Turkiye’s northwestern Kocaeli province.

Axar.az reports, citing TRT Haber, that according to a statement from the Kocaeli Provincial Police Department, authorities identified B.G., who was wanted for a 6-year and 3-month prison sentence for being a member of FETO, in the Golcuk district.

The former officer was detained during an operation carried out as part of efforts to apprehend wanted individuals. Following police procedures, he was transferred to prison to serve his sentence.
