The Ukrainian military has struck a Russian naval base in the city of Novorossiysk in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai.

Axar.az reports, citing Ukrainian media, that four Russian warships sustained varying degrees of damage in the strikes overnight on August 11-12: two Project 11356 frigates, the Admiral Makarov and Admiral Essen; a Project 21631 Buyan-M small missile ship; and the Project 22160 Vasily Bykov patrol ship.

The Security Service of Ukraine said the Admiral Makarov and Admiral Essen are carriers of Kalibr cruise missiles.

The strikes also hit a 30N6E radar belonging to an S-300 air defense system, a mobile firing unit at Pier No. 2, the tunnel entrance to the Grushovaya oil depot leading to the Sheskharis terminal, and infrastructure at Piers No. 3, 6 and 7.
