Pashinyan: New Armenian program drops Karabakh ideology

The ideology of the Karabakh movement is not included in Armenia’s new government programme for 2026–2031.

Axar.az, informs, citing local media, that according to Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, almost all political figures from Armenia’s middle-aged and older generations, as well as many representatives of the younger generation, are connected to the ideology of the Karabakh movement:

“This also applied to government officials. Nevertheless, over the past years, the government decided to reread pages that had remained closed for a long time. Their reassessment led to the formation of a peace agenda and a real Armenia agenda.

This approach also stemmed from the position of a certain segment of Armenian society. Under the new programme, the government will shift from crisis management to regular governance, with greater focus on strengthening human rights, economic diplomacy, the development of artificial intelligence, and healthcare issues.”
