Trump hints at possible change of power in Cuba

US President Donald Trump has suggested that developments in Cuba could follow a scenario similar to Venezuela, saying that the situation on the island would not last much longer.

Axar.az reports that Trump made the remarks in an interview with American journalist Benny Johnson, recorded in Florida.

“Well, I would say it's not going to last much longer. Look, it's a failed country. We're going to get people back there very soon. Look at what we did with Venezuela and it's going to work out very well. It's something we're going to finish off one and then we're going to maybe take a look at the other,” Trump said.

He also referred to US policy towards Venezuela and Iran, saying that Washington was working to prevent Tehran from obtaining nuclear weapons.

“But Venezuela has been tremendous and now we're in a place called Iran taking away their nuclear weapon. They're never going to have a nuclear weapon and that's working out very well,” he added.
