Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif praised the country’s recent achievements in the area of peaceful nuclear energy and said the slogan “nuclear energy is our indisputable right” has now become a reality technically, legally and diplomatically.

Axar.az reports that in a post on his Instagram page on Sunday, marking Iran’s National Nuclear Technology Day, Zarif said seeing the achievements by the country’s nuclear scientists in various fields that were put on display Sunday made him feel proud.

He said more than 42 nuclear projects have been launched over the past two years and reached results in the last Iranian year (which ended on March 20, 2016).

“Through the resistance of the people, leadership of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, wisdom of the president and efforts made by (Iranian) scientists… the slogan ‘nuclear energy is our indisputable right’ has now become a technical, legal and diplomatic reality,” he stressed.

In a ceremony attended by President Hassan Rouhani in Tehran on Sunday, Iran marked the National Nuclear Technology Day by unveiling a series of new achievements.

It is the 11th year Iran is celebrating a national day to mark its achievements in the nuclear industry.

President Rouhani and Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Ali Akbar Salehi made speeches at the ceremony.

This year, the AEOI celebrated five new achievements by the country’s scientists.
