The people of Mosul, Iraq, have come under chemical attack by the U.S., the Shiite dominated Iraqi army and the terrorist organizations of the Kurdistan Worker’s Party (PKK) and Hashd al-Shaabi who alleged that they were conducting an operation against ISIS.

Axar.az reports citing Yeni Safak.

U.S. warplanes dropped M825A1 bombs, also known as white phosphorus bombs, on civilians.

Footage of the Great Mosque of al-Nuri and al-Habda and its ancient brick minaret burning down after being struck by the bomb were shared on social media.

Other groups, such as the the Shiite dominated Iraqi army and the Kurdistan Worker’s Party (PKK) and Hashd al-Shaabi terrorist organizations, launched an offensive against civilians with artillery units.

Activists reported that the white phosphorous, internationally recognized as a chemical weapon, caused many deaths.

The footage recorded during live regional television broadcasts also revealed that the zone was under intense chemical attack. There are at least 200,000 civilians in the region.

As soon as white phosphorus comes into contact with oxygen, it begins to burn and is powerful enough to burn through material five to 10 times the thickness of a human body. It is a chemical strong enough to burn even human bones.
