North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has met with visiting Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi.

Axar.az reports citing AP.

During the meeting on Thursday, Wang conveyed the cordial regards of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Kim, saying that the DPRK leader’s successful visit to China and his historic meeting with President Xi in March opened a new chapter in the China-DPRK relations and steered the bilateral relations into a new development phase.

Wang said that China supports last month’s successful inter-Korean summit, which has brought opportunities for a political solution to the Korean Peninsula issue.
