Yemen has opened Al-Wadia, the only border crossing point with Saudi Arabia.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from the Yemeni Foreign Ministry.

It is reported that the border was closed a month ago as part of the fight against a new type of coronavirus:

"The border checkpoint has been temporarily opened so that Yemeni citizens remaining in Saudi Arabia can return to the country. Yemeni President Mansour Hadi has instructed in this regard."

Yemen has closed other border crossings since September 2014 due to the conflict with Saudi Arabia. Al-Wadia was the only border crossing between the two countries.
