The United Kingdom is developing a “stealth” fighter jet capable of striking directly into Russia from NATO territory.
Axar.az informs that this was reported by The Telegraph.
According to the publication, Britain’s sixth-generation “Tempest” fighter jet will be capable of launching deep strikes into Russia without being detected by air defense systems, without refueling, and while fully armed.
The jet is being developed as part of a joint project between the UK, Japan, and Italy. It will include enhanced fuel tanks, weapon systems, and equipment integrated into its body, allowing the aircraft to carry out long-range combat missions.
According to military analyst Francis Tusa, if a war breaks out between NATO and Russia, the Tempest could take off from a British base and, within the first week, strike Russian missile defense systems, air defense facilities, and airfields.
