Israel is implementing plans to renew the civil war in Syria and overthrow the country's transitional President, Ahmed al-Sharaa.
Axar.az reports that Abdulgadir Selvi, a columnist for the Hurriyet newspaper, wrote about this.
Selvi noted that Turkish intelligence had previously prevented a plot against Sharaa:
"Israel wants to destabilize Syria. Tel Aviv is trying to renew the civil war; its goal is to overthrow Ahmed al-Sharaa."
In his opinion, Israel is not satisfied with Turkiye's influence in neighboring Syria:
"If the PKK forces are disarmed, Turkiye's influence in Syria will increase even more. That is why Israel is inciting the Druze in the south and the PKK in the north. It does not need Turkiye, which influences Syria and Lebanon. It wants to start a civil war and oust Turkiye from Syria."
