A commission has been established to ensure the security of critical information infrastructure.
Axar.az reports that a commission has been established to ensure the security of critical information infrastructure.
According to a joint statement by the State Security Service (DTX) and the Special Communication and Information Security State Service (XRİTDX), comprehensive measures are ongoing to implement the tasks arising from the laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the decrees of the President, and decisions of the Cabinet of Ministers in this area.
Under relevant legislative and regulatory requirements, a joint commission has been formed from authorized personnel of the State Security Service (DTX) and the Special Communication and Information Security State Service (XRİTDX). This commission will ensure the systematic, timely, and uninterrupted inspection of state institutions’ compliance with general and specific rules concerning the security of critical information infrastructure.
Considering the potential threats to national and public security that may result from the shortcomings identified, the commission will assess the measures taken by critical information infrastructure entities to eliminate them.
The commission will also prepare periodic reports and data on the outcomes of its work. If any cases that may jeopardize the security of critical information infrastructure are identified, the commission will raise the issue of taking urgent measures.
Under Presidential Decree No. 1315 dated April 17, 2021, the DTX is the authorized body responsible for ensuring the security of critical information infrastructure and combating cyber threats. In relation to state bodies, public legal entities established on behalf of the state, and state-owned legal entities, the DTX performs these functions jointly with the XRİTDX.
