Turkiye will continue its support for Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa.

Axar.az reports that this was said by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

"We are determined not to leave Ahmed al-Sharaa alone in Syria. We do not want Syria to be divided; we see the restoration of Syria as a positive factor for our country. Because the restoration of Syria will also have a positive impact on its relations with us. Turkiye will continue to facilitate the return of Syrian refugees to their homeland. We see that the voluntary return of Syrians who are with us to their countries has begun. The return of Syrian refugees to their homeland will contribute to stability in the neighboring country. By accelerating the return process, we want the situation in Syria to return to normal as soon as possible and ensure the security of our south," he said.
