Tanker hit by unknown fire in Strait of Hormuz

A tanker crew has reported coming under fire from unidentified forces in the Strait of Hormuz.

Axar.az reports, citing a statement posted on the X account of the UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO), that a tanker was struck by unknown projectiles.

"All crew reported safe. No environmental impact reported. Authorities are investigating. Vessels are advised to transit with caution and report any suspicious activity to UKMTO," the statement reads.
