Hundreds of miners in Bosnia and Herzegovina have staged a protest in the capital, Sarajevo.

Axar.az reports that more than 500 miners gathered in front of the government building of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and chanted slogans demanding permanent salary and pension improvements.

Sinan Husic, chairman of the Trade Union of Mine Workers of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, noted that miners working in the Zenica coal mine are in the most difficult situation.

It was reported that a meeting was held with a group representing the miners at the government building.
