Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has sent a letter to the UN Secretary-General, António Guterres, as well as to the members of the UN Security Council and the EU High Representative, Kaja Kallas.

Axar.az reports that the Foreign Minister wrote about this on the social network.

He presented arguments against the UN Security Council's proposed imposition of new sanctions against Iran.

According to Araghchi, the three EU countries—Germany, France, and the UK—have no legal, political, or moral right to impose new sanctions against Tehran.

"The countries in question have abandoned the main provisions and obligations of the JCPOA (Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action) while supporting Israel and the US in their strikes on the nuclear facilities of the Islamic Republic."
