A statue of Zoya was demolished in Ukraine

A statue of Hero of the Soviet Union Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya was demolished in the Ukrainian city of Chernihiv.

Axar.az reports that this was reported by Chernihiv's Public publication.

"A statue of Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya was demolished in the yard of school No. 10 in Chernihiv," the statement said.

Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya was a member of a group of young people who fought against the Germans during World War II. Zoya, captured by the Germans, was executed on November 29, 1941, in the village of Petrishevo, Moscow region.
