Andriy Kostin was elected the new chief prosecutor of Ukraine.

Axar.az reports that Yuliya Paliychuk, the press secretary of the People's Servant Party, said this.

"The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine approved the appointment of Andrey Kostin to the position of the Prosecutor General. 299 MPs supported Kostin's candidacy in the parliamentary vote," Paliychuk said.

It should be noted that Andrey Kostin replaced Irina Venediktova in this post.
