Update on personal visit visas

The scope of the entry visa issued for the purpose of personal visit is extended.

Axar.az reports with reference to Report that an amendment to the Migration Code is proposed in this regard.

According to the amendment, a personal visit visa is issued to a citizen of the Republic of Azerbaijan, a foreigner permanently residing in the Republic of Azerbaijan or a stateless person, a working migrant with a temporary residence permit or a foreigner studying in the Republic of Azerbaijan, and a stateless person (only that migrant worker or foreigner studying and for family members of a stateless person) The tool will be given to foreigners and stateless persons arriving on the basis of a notarized invitation letter of the founders, employees of legal entities of the economic zone, or foreigners and stateless persons who have permission to temporarily live in that zone.

The current version of the Code is as follows:

"Personal visit visa of a citizen of the Republic of Azerbaijan, a foreigner permanently residing in the Republic of Azerbaijan or a stateless person, a labor migrant with a temporary residence permit in the Republic of Azerbaijan or a foreigner studying and a stateless person (only that labor migrant or foreigner studying and stateless for the person's family members) is given to foreigners and stateless persons arriving on the basis of a notarized invitation letter".
