The supply of Western tanks to Ukraine will not lead to a new escalation in the war.

Axar.az reports that German Chancellor Olaf Scholtz said this in his statement to "Bild".

"Nothing can justify this war. Russia is waging a merciless war against Ukraine. Germany and its allies are giving tanks to Ukraine so that it can defend itself. We carefully weighed each arms delivery decision, agreed it with allies, first of all with the United States. This joint approach is a safeguard against the escalation of war," Scholtz said.
