Pakistan: 5 killed as bus plunges into ravine

At least five people died and 24 others were injured when a passenger bus plunged into a 100-foot-deep ravine in Pakistan early Wednesday.

Axar.az reports the bus, traveling from Rawalpindi to Bahawalpur, had been diverted from the motorway due to dense fog.

Rescue 1122 spokesperson Qazi Muhammad Akram said the driver lost control on a winding stretch of the road at around 2:15 a.m., causing the bus to fall into the ravine.
