Pro-Western Russian mass media wrote that the commander-in-chief of the Russian Aerospace Forces, Sergey Surovikin, was arrested. I think this news is not true.

Axar.az reports that this was noted by the well-known Russian political scientist Sergei Markov.

He indicated that Surovikin's arrest could be a lie for the following reasons:

1. Surovikin spoke directly on television against Prigozhin's rebellion;

2. The investigation that should determine who is guilty has just begun. It won't take long;

3. Surovikin is famous in the army;

4. Surovikin is a good professional and the army needs him;

5. Wouldn't it be strange if the leaders of the rebels are free, but those who oppose them are arrested?

6. The sources regarding Surovikin's arrest are not entirely clear;

7. The interest in disinformation is obvious keeping the subject of rebellion in the spotlight, and the government is trying to remove this topic from the agenda so that it is forgotten sooner.

It should be noted that reports have spread that the commander-in-chief of the Russian Aerospace Forces, Sergey Surovikin, and his deputy, Colonel-General Andrey Yudi, have been accused of treason.

Later, Yudin denied reports that he had been arrested but said that he was unaware of Surovikin's whereabouts.
