The American "Boeing" corporation will quickly supply 1,800 kits to Israel for the modification of unguided bombs and precision-guided munitions.
Axar.az reports that "Bloomberg" reported this with reference to unnamed members of the US Congress and an American official.
"The Pentagon provided assistance for the transfer of equipment but did not involve its own military transport aircraft. This equipment shipment is part of an estimated $735 million worth of JDAM deliveries agreed in 2021. According to the terms of the contract, the shipment of the kits was to continue for several years. However, after the latest attack by Hamas militants on Israel, its schedule has been accelerated. Kits are needed to modify bombs weighing 500 pounds (227 kg) or more. After installing the equipment, they can hit targets at a distance of up to 24 kilometres, and the probability of the bombs avoiding the target is 5-30 meters," the information says.
