Turkiye will continue to promote the independence of Cyprus

Turkiye will continue its efforts to promote the sovereignty and international status of the Turkish Cypriot brothers.

Axar.az reports that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said this at the III Antalya Democracy Forum.

"This is the right of the Turkish Cypriots," the Turkish president added.

Erdogan also stressed that recent events and experiences confirm that diplomacy is the greatest tool for solving crises.

Note that only Turkiye officially recognizes the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
