An earthquake occurred in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, and in several other regions of the country.

Axar.az reports that the Republican Center for Seismic Forecasting and Monitoring of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan has released information about this.

It was reported that the epicenter of the 5.4-magnitude earthquake was in Tajikistan:

"The epicenter of the earthquake was felt 313 km southeast of Tashkent."

According to the center, earthquakes with a magnitude of 2 were felt in Tashkent and Syr Darya provinces, 2-3 in Andijan and Namangan provinces, and 3 in Fergana province.

Losses and casualties were not reported.
