Azerbaijan’s national air carrier, AZAL, has launched a new "AZAL Upgrade" program to enhance passenger satisfaction. Under this program, passengers who purchase economy class tickets can upgrade to premium economy or business class.

Axar.az reports that passengers who win through the "AZAL Upgrade" program will be able to enjoy all the privileges of premium economy and business class.

There are several ways to take advantage of the service. Passengers who purchase economy class tickets will receive information about the "AZAL Upgrade" program via email before their flight. By clicking on the link in the email, passengers can make offers and secure premium economy or business class seats at a special price. Additionally, passengers can apply for the "AZAL Upgrade" service through the "Manage Reservation" section on the azal.az website and mobile app, as well as through the online check-in section.

The opportunity to upgrade to premium economy and business class can be made online up to 14 hours before the flight. After submitting the offer, the passenger will be informed of the results no later than 12 hours before the flight, meaning they will be notified whether their offer has been accepted.

Payment is only made if the offer is accepted. The amount paid for this service is non-refundable and non-transferable. If the offer is not accepted, no additional payment will be charged.

Additionally, if the aircraft assigned for the flight is changed and the new aircraft does not have a business class, the upgrade will not be processed, and the paid amount will be fully refunded to the passenger. However, if the new aircraft has a business class, all privileges will be provided to the customer, and no changes will occur.
