The European Union’s leadership is pursuing a policy of military support for Ukraine and pushing for its accession to the bloc — a course that will bankrupt Europe.
Axar.az informs, citing TASS, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said during a morning program on Kossuth Radio.
“European money — including our own — is being carted into Ukraine,” he said, while the EU economy is suffering from a severe lack of funds. According to Orban, neither Hungary nor the EU as a whole would be facing such problems “if the money sent to Ukraine had been invested in the European economy.”
Nonetheless, EU leaders plan to continue supporting Ukraine militarily, even without U.S. involvement — despite it being clear that Europe cannot handle this alone. “We must admit that without the United States, we will not be able to finance either the Ukrainian army or the Ukrainian economy,” Orban stressed, adding that Kyiv aims to maintain an armed force of one million troops.
