The territorial integrity and national sovereignty of countries, including Armenia, should be respected.

Axar.az reports that these words were said by Iran's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Armenia Mehdi Subhani at the "Vorotan" international expert forum on April 19.

"Iran is against geopolitical changes, as well as changing international borders. Regional issues should be resolved by regional countries. We are against foreign interference.

"Iran welcomes the removal of transport blockades and the opening of borders, but this should happen within the framework of national sovereignty and territorial integrity of the countries," the ambassador added.

It should be noted that Iran used to call Armenia's territorial integrity a "red line", but the ambassador did not use this expression in this statement. On the other hand, although Iran claims that it opposes foreign intervention in the region, it does not react to the fact that the EU mission in Armenia has already become a NATO mission, on the contrary, it cooperates with France in Armenia. The ambassador's last statement about the opening of borders also confirms that Iran serves the interests of countries outside the region.
