Russia's victory in Ukraine will change the course of history in Europe.

Axar.az reports that the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, said this at the session of the European Parliament.

"Putin's victory will not only change the world map, but also change the historical course of the European Union. After that, the European Union will never be the same," he said.

Leyen again called on the EU countries to unite to provide arms to Ukraine and called Russia an "existential threat".

According to him, Ukraine carries a heavy burden for the sake of the EU, and therefore the EU countries should provide Ukraine with all the means for self-defense.

"Ukraine must win," he stressed.
