Ukraine still does not meet the requirements of NATO

Ukraine still does not meet the requirements and criteria to become a candidate for NATO membership.

Axar.az reports that Julian Smith, the permanent representative of the United States to NATO, said this while commenting on the statement of American President Joe Biden on the prospects of relations between Ukraine and NATO.

"I think the president indicated in the interview that Ukrainians should meet the criteria and reforms required to join NATO," said Smith.

At the same time, Smith noted that NATO allies are working closely together, both bilaterally and through NATO, to help Ukrainians move forward.
