The French election hit the euro: the EU currency fell

After the publication of "exit-poll" data on the early elections held in France, the European currency began to fall.

Axar.az reports that "Bloomberg" wrote that 1 euro was offered at 1.0807 dollars at the auction held on the Australian stock exchange.

It said the likely victory of the New People's Front alliance came as a surprise - markets are usually particularly sensitive to such things.
