NATO: Ukrainian skies are fully protected

On the first day of the NATO summit, US President Joe Biden, Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schof, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Italian Prime Minister Meloni, and Romanian President Klaus Iohannis issued a joint statement on providing additional air defense equipment to Ukraine.

Axar.az reports that the president of Ukraine also joined the statement.

The statement states that these countries will provide Ukraine with 5 additional strategic air defense systems to help protect Ukrainian cities, civilians and military personnel.

In addition, in the coming months, the US and partners intend to provide Ukraine with dozens of tactical air defense systems, including NASAMS, HAWK, IRIS T-SLM, IRIS T-SLS and Gepard systems. Several allies will also continue to supply the same systems, including Canada, Norway, Spain and the United Kingdom.
