The spokesperson of the Turkish Ministry of National Defense, Zeki Aktürk, clarified the reports about the potential sale of F-35 fighter jets to Ankara, under the condition that the S-400 missile defense systems are not used.

Axar.az reports that he spoke about this during a weekly briefing.

“Turkiye's requirements for air defense systems continue. In this context, the S-400 systems remain in the inventory of the Turkish Armed Forces. There are no updates on the current matter,” the ministry official stated.
