Russian border guards protects the borders of Armenia

The Speaker of the Armenian Parliament, Alen Simonyan, ignores the statements of the Prime Minister of his country regarding the need to reconsider the deployment of Russian troops on the border with Iran and Turk.

Axar.az reports that Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, said these words at a briefing.

He noted that the main document regulating the status of the Russian border troops in Armenia is indefinite:

"For more than 30 years, Russian border guards have been protecting the borders of Armenia. They have repeatedly confirmed the need for their presence, especially by preventing illegal crossing of the border and illegal drug trafficking.
