German Chancellor Olaf Scholz will visit Turkiye next weekend and meet with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Istanbul on October 19.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Wolfgang Büchner, an official from the German Cabinet.

He noted that discussions will cover the Ukraine conflict, the situation in the Middle East, and the migration issue.

It is worth mentioning that Russian leader Vladimir Putin confirmed today that he will meet Erdogan during the BRICS summit in Kazan. Scholz’s meeting with Erdogan before the summit, which will take place from October 22-24 in Kazan, has drawn attention.
