President Joe Biden criticized Donald Trump’s supporters on Tuesday in response to the Republican presidential nominee's recent rally at Madison Square Garden, which was marred by crude and racist comments.

Axar.az reports that Biden reacted to a joke made by a comedian at Trump’s rally who referred to Puerto Rico as a “floating island of garbage.”

He stated, “The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters. His demonization of Latinos is unconscionable and un-American. It completely contradicts everything we’ve done and everything we stand for.”

Biden later took to social media to clarify his remarks, tweeting that he had intended to describe the comedian’s comments as “garbage.”
