Donald Trump’s team has begun discussing a plan to end the Ukraine conflict.

Axar.az informs that the Wall Street Journal reported this information.

Citing sources, the publication stated that the plan involves freezing the front lines and establishing a demilitarized zone along the front.

“We are not sending Americans to Ukraine to preserve peace. And we’re not paying for it either. Ask the Poles, Germans, English, and French for that,” a source from Trump’s team said.

The plan suggests that Kyiv should abandon its attempts to join NATO over the next 20 years. At the same time, Ukraine would continue to receive arms and military training aid from the U.S., but the primary involvement in peacekeeping operations would fall to Europe.

According to the publication’s staff, these points are similar to what Vice President-elect James David Vance wrote earlier this fall. Vance had stated that Trump would invite Russia, Ukraine, and Europe to reach a peace settlement independently.
