At the very end of his presidency, Joe Biden finally gave in to Kyiv’s months-long request and authorized the use of long-range missiles by the Ukrainian military to strike deep into Russian territory.

Axar.az informs that Le Monde reported this development.

It was noted that the goal is to help Ukraine repel Moscow’s counteroffensive in the Kursk region, where North Korean troops are reportedly involved:

"Currently, the priority is to maintain Ukraine’s control over Russian territory until Donald Trump, who has outlined plans to bring Ukraine and Russia to the negotiating table as quickly as possible, takes power."

The report stated that until now, the U.S. refrained from allowing deep strikes due to fears of escalation, as Russia frequently threatened the use of nuclear weapons.

"Another objective is to convince North Korean leader Kim Jong Un that interfering in Ukraine’s affairs will lead to significant human losses," the newspaper emphasized.
