The new government of Syria is trying to conclude defense agreements with some countries.

Axar.az reports that the leader of the armed groups that came to power in Damascus, Ahmad al-Sharaa (Abu Mohammad Julani), informed about this.

"We are trying to conclude agreements on joint defense and establish strategic military relations with a number of states," he said.

Also, the leader of the group noted that they received messages asking Iran to ensure the security of its embassy.
