If Ukraine does not achieve a decisive victory and, as outlined in Trump's "peace plan," makes concessions to Russia, the resumption of military operations will be inevitable.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by military-political experts Andrea Kendall-Taylor and Michael Kofman in an article they wrote for Foreign Affairs.

The authors warn that Russia's aggressive ambitions will not stop in Ukraine, and without real resistance from the West, Russia's aggression will only expand its scope.

In the analysts' view, concessions to Russia's demands in Ukraine will not secure peace in Europe; quite the opposite:

"Just look at the events of the past two decades. At every turn—the war in Georgia in 2008, Russia’s first invasion of Ukraine in 2014, and its deployment of troops to Syria in 2015—Putin has grown only more willing to take risks as he comes to believe that doing so pays off."
